Please drop me an e-mail if you have or haven’t had issues with older Macs it would be great to share any things that pop up with other Final Cut Pro X users. It may also be that older 2011 & 2012 Mac Laptops may not run Final Cut Pro X well. I would highly recommend doing all your updates through the App Store as this is the only way to get Final Cut Pro X working correctly. What version of Final Cut Pro X and macOS are you working with? Some older versions such of Final Cut Pro X 10.3 seem to be causing some issues and in this past few days (April 2020) there seem to be many more problems as people acquire Final Cut Pro X. They will be able to help you work through your issue and may have other steps that I’ve not included here. They have been super helpful with me in the past with a variety of issues that have popped up so don’t be afraid to get in touch with them.

Seagate Expansion Portable 4TB External Hard Drive Desktop HDD Want to setup Time Machine? Here are some affordable drives I use: I have not experimented with this myself but it seems like a logical step to try. One thing to do before you restore with Time Machine is to make a copy to a new location of a project if you are going back to a previous version of that. With Time Machine you can target which folders you are restoring to a previous version. If you are using Time Machine to backup your Mac it may be possible to fix the export issues by going back to a previous backup when exporting from Final Cut Pro X was working. Step 5: Use Time Machine to Restore Exporting

This is a free program and you can download it here –. Thanks to relate with rach for highlighting this point! Step 4: Do a complete Uninstall & Re-Install of FCPXįor this you will need FCS Remover from Digital Rebellion. To re-open files go to Macintosh HD > Users > (YourUserName) > Movies and you should see the purple icons of the Libraries you were working on previously. This does not mean they are deleted but as a part of deleting the preferences Final Cut Pro X clears the recent list of open projects. NOTE: When you perform this step any open Libraries that you had open in Final cut Pro X will not be visible when you clear the preferences.
